'When One Door Closes'

This research project was designed and developed as Lucy's MA Thesis, using practice as research as a methodology to explore self-transformation through the composition, performance, recording and production of original music, followed by a structured process of reflection, analysis and evaluation. This phenomenological practice as research is a heuristic and autoethnographic exploration of musical theatre songwriting, as a transformative device for excavating, inquiring upon and reclaiming personal narratives.
